“It was an honor and privilege to be in Newport, Rhode Island, at the esteemed Naval Chaplaincy School, where I had the distinguished pleasure of attending the Professional Naval Basic Leadership Course Class of 25020 as the official Endorser of Chaplains in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. As an Endorser for Chaplains across the United States Military, Veterans Chaplains, Federal Prisons Chaplains, and Community Chaplains, I was humbled to be invited to witness the graduation of our dedicated Chaplains.

Among the graduating class were two outstanding representatives from the African Methodist Episcopal Church: Rev. Jones Zarwaye Gaye and Rev. Dr. Anda Roberts Bryant, whose commitment to serving our nation’s heroes is truly inspiring. The ceremony was a testament to the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of these selfless individuals who serve in highly specialized ministries, providing spiritual guidance and support to those who bravely defend our nation’s values and protect the innocent.

As I looked out at the graduating class, I was filled with a sense of pride and admiration for the men and women who have answered the call to serve. On behalf of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, I extend my warmest congratulations to Rev. Gaye, Rev. Dr. Bryant, and each and every one of them for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to providing ministry to those who fight for peace, freedom, and democracy. Their work is invaluable, and their service is a shining example of the power of faith in action.

As I reflected on the significance of this occasion, I was reminded of the profound impact that Chaplains have on the lives of those they serve. Their presence provides comfort, hope, and healing in times of uncertainty and turmoil. They are the embodiment of compassion, empathy, and kindness, and their work is a testament to the transformative power of faith.

This was indeed a time well spent, as I had the opportunity to encourage and recognize the invaluable services of these dedicated individuals. I pray that their ministry will continue to be a source of inspiration, hope, and healing to all those they serve. Congratulations once again to Rev. Gaye, Rev. Dr. Bryant, and the entire graduating class!”
