We are pleased to announce our safe arrival in Lagos, Nigeria. The immigration and customs process were smooth and efficient, thanks to the courtesy and professionalism of the officers.
We are now in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. My wife, Mother Irene M. Daniels, who served alongside with me as Episcopal Supervisor of the 14th Episcopal District, AME Church, in West Africa from 2004 to 2012. During our tenure, we worked tirelessly to spread the Gospel. She also worked relentlessly to developed educational opportunities, scholarships for women and children especially the girl child. She established entrepreneurial training for women to develop their own businesses. She created micro-finance for women to empower them for leadership roles both in the church and their communities.
We paid special Tribute to our Partnerships with the Bensons in Lagos, Nigeria. We appreciated the support of partners like Sister Chief Dr. Opal Mason Benson and her late husband, Honorable Chief Theophileus Owolabi Shobowale Benson. Their contributions were instrumental in the success of our mission work in the 14th Episcopal District.
Our visit includes visiting the iconic lady who assisted us from 2004 to 2012.
We are now en route to visit Sister Chief Dr. Opal Mason Benson, a remarkable woman who turned 90-year-young this year. She is a strong generous leader who played a significant role in our ministry. We are grateful for her devotion, dedication, and service.
Bishop David R. Daniels Jr.
